1. Emphasize the proper ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and fair play.

2. Eliminate all the possibilities which tend to destroy the best values of the game.

3. Stress the values derived from playing the game fairly.

4. Show cordial courtesy to visiting teams and officials.

5. Establish a happy repationship between visitors and hosts.

6. Respect the integrity and judgement of sports officials.

7. Achieve a thorough understanding and acceptance of the rules of the game and standards of eligibility.

8. Encourage leadership, use of inititiative, and good judgement by players on a team.

9. Recognize that the purpose of athletics is to promote the physical, mental, moral, and emotional well-being of the individuals players.

10. Remember that an anthletic contest is only a game - not a matter of life and death for the player, coach, school. fans, community, etc.
